Review: LEGO 70901 Mr. Freeze Ice Attack

Name:  Mr. Freeze Ice Attack
Set Number: 70901
Pieces: 201
Price: $19.99
Minifigures: 3
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2016

If you're looking for an affordable Lego Batman set that comes with Batman and a villain, then you've found the right one. This set is small and leaves a lot to the imagination. It took me about 20 minutes to build. I first started by building Batman.
This Batman minifigure is the same throughout all of the Batman sets. He comes with a helmet, a utility belt, a cape, a flamethrower, and some batarangs. The two faces he comes with are happy and scared. After Batman, I built Mr. Freeze. This is the newest model of Lego Mr. Freeze that is available. His entire body is detailed from his head to his legs with what looks like to be his freeze suit. He comes with just his head piece and his giant mech. Lastly, I made the security guard. His head and body are nicely detailed. The security guard comes with a helmet, mask, oxygen tank, and a gun. After I built the minifigures, I made the power plant, ice prison, and the mech suit.

The power plant will probably play a big role in the Batman movie coming out on February 10th because it is seen in the trailer. I would have liked if the power plant was bigger and had more features to it. You can connect this set to the Joker Balloon Escape and Scarecrow Special Delivery sets, but it's still a very small building that I think could have been better. It comes with three stickers. Personally, I don't like stickers because they peel over time and if you don't place them right, the whole build will look wonky. After the power plant, I went onto the mech. The mech takes up a majority of the pieces from the set. Its features include: a stud gun, a spot for a minifigure to stand, and posable joints. I wish the arms and legs had a few more joints, but the mech still turned out amazing. The tubes on its back also look very cool and make you think that thre is liquid moving around the mech. The last part of the set that I built was the ice prison. It's small enough for one minifgure or one security guard to fit in. I think that it was a nice addition to the set.

Overall, the set is small and good looking. Mr. Freeze and the security guard are both unique to this set. The mech is awesome and brings the whole set together. I wish the power plant was bigger, but maybe if combined with the Joker's Balloon set and the Scarecrow set it will be better? The piece-to-price ratio is great. I would rate this set 4/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 70908 The Scuttler

Name:  The Scuttler
Set Number: 70908
Pieces: 775
Price: $79.99
Minifigures: 6
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2017

Since the new year is here, the next wave of Lego sets for all of the different themes of Legos are out. The Scuttler was one of the more popular sets to be released this year. Its design is very radical from any set that has ever been made. It took me about an hour to build. I started off by building the minifigures.
I started off with the Joker minifigure. He comes in a lot of the Lego Batman sets. This Joker is unique because in this set he comes with a purple coat-tail which is only available in this set and the Joker Balloon Escape set. The Joker comes with his unique hair piece, the coat-tail, his pop-gun, and comes with two faces, one with a super big smile and one with a slight grin. The next minifigure I worked on was Poison Ivy. She is only available like this in this set, but is also available in a prison jumpsuit in the Arkham Asylum set. Ivy comes with her plant stand, two vines to hold, and a hairpiece. She also comes with two faces, one with her mouth closed and one with her mouth open. After Ivy, I made Batman. He comes in all the sets except The Joker Notorious Lowrider and the Catwoman Catcycle Chase sets. Batman comes with a black cape, two batarangs, a utility belt, and his helmet. Just like the other minifigures, he also comes with two faces, one angry and one surprised. Then I built Robin. He comes in a party tuxedo with a bow-tie which is an exclusive costume to this set. Just like all the other minifigures, Robin also has two faces, one happy and one sad. Lastly are the two Gordons. Both Barbra Gordon and Commissioner (James) Gordon are exclusive to this set. Barbra comes with a ballistic vest and a hair piece. The commissioner comes with a pistol and a hair piece. Both of the Gordons also come with two faces, one happy and one angry. All of the minifigures are awesome looking and make this set more attractive on top of the Scuttler vehicle.

After I finished the minifigures, I built the Scuttler. Its features include: a posable head, adjustable ears, a cockpit with two stud shooters, net shooter, a hidden jetpack, extendable arms each with dual stud shooters, and posable joints. The Scuttler also comes with a lot of stickers. It has about 6 stickers per arm and about 6 stickers on its back. On top of the design looking fantastic, it is really fun to play with. I can only imagine how cool this vehicle will be in the movie coming up in February.

As a whole, this set is fantastic. Along with getting 6 unique and exclusive minifigures, the set also comes with an awesome looking ship! The Scuttler has lots of features to add to its playability function. The only downside that I don't like about the Scuttler is the amount of stickers that it comes with. I would rate this set 5/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 21306 Yellow Submarine

Name:  Yellow Submarine
Set Number: 21306
Pieces: 553
Price: $59.99
Minifigures: 4
Theme: The Beatles
Year of Release: 2016

This Lego Ideas set was released on November 1st of 2016. I've been looking forward to getting this set since it came out and only recently obtained it. The Beatles were one of my favorite groups growing up and I was super excited when I learned they were going to make a Lego from of them. It took me around an hour to build this set. I first began with the minifigures.
I built John Lennon first. He is wearing stripped pants and what looks like a purple/green top. John comes with two faces and a telescope. Next, I built Paul McCartney. He is wearing dual-colored pants along with a shirt and tie. Paul comes with a love letter and two faces. Then I built George Harrison. He is wearing black pants and a brown top. George comes with a submarine motor and also has two faces. Next I built Ringo Starr. Like John, he wears stripped pants and a flamboyant top. He comes with a black hole and has two faces. Lastly, the Beatles traveling companion, Jeremy Hillary Boob. He is their little brown and blue creature who has magical powers.

Then I built the Yellow Submarine. Its features include: a removable top, cockpit that all the Beatles can fit in, four rotating periscopes, two rotating propellers, an adjustable rudder, and a removable display stand. I feel that this build has more of a display aspect to it rather than play function. It also comes with foam or clouds under it like its emerging from the water or flying. The vehicle itself is interesting to look at and my favorite part about this set is that there were no stickers needed for the cool designs.

Overall, this set is awesome and makes me just want to listen to Beatles music all day. I personally think that it looks better for display than for playing with. The design of the ship is beautiful and the interior is just as interesting as the exterior. The piece-to-price ratio is a little high, but this is an exclusive set and is a must have if you're a Beatles fan. I would rate this set 4.5/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 75155 Rebel U-Wing Fighter

Name:  Rebel U-Wing Fighter
Set Number: 75155
Pieces: 659
Price: $79.99
Minifigures: 5
Theme: Star Wars
Year of Release: 2016

The movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released two weeks ago and it was fantastic. The characters and the ships all looked amazing. Seeing the movie made me really want to get the Lego U-wing, and I did just that! It took me around a hour and thirty minutes to build. I started by building the minifigures.
I started off by building Jyn Urso. She comes with a helmet, a satchel, a blaster, a big gun, and a parka. Jyn also has two faces, one calm and one angry. I like having her minifigure, but she doesn't come with a hair piece, so you have to keep her helmet on the whole time you play with her which takes away from the experience a bit. Next, I built Cassian Andor. He comes with a blaster and a hair piece. Cassian also come with two faces, one smug and one serious. After Cassian, I built the rebel trooper. He comes with a helmet and a blasster. He only comes with one face, an angry face. His detailing on his body makes him look well-equipped for battle. The minifigure I worked on after the trooper was the U-Wing pilot. He comes with a helmet and a small pistol. The pilot also comes with two faces, one happy and one scared. The last minifigure I worked on was Bistan. He was the space monkey who shot at the enemy from  the U-Wing in the movie. His head piece is unique and is one big piece. Bistan comes with his head-piece and a blaster. Overall, the minifigures in this set are amazing and this is currently the only set where you can get all of these minifigures.

After the minifigures, I built the U-Wing. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Some of its features include: minifigure cockpit, opening side doors with pull-out stud shooters, rear storage, two spring-loaded shooters, and huge wings that can be swept back for atmospheric flight. There are a couple of stickers that if not aligned, make the ship look asymmetrical. The only thing that would have made this ship better was if there was easier access to the holding area under the cockpit. The U-Wing is fun to play with and looks amazing when displayed.

The entire set is fantastic. All of the minifigures are exclusive to this set and the U-Wing has a unique look to it compared to all of the other Star Wars ships. This set in addition to the other Rogue One sets makes one of the coolest Star Wars collections. You can recreate many different scenes with this set or make up some of your own. As well as playing with the set, the U-Wing and its crew looks amazing when displayed. The price-to-piece ratio is a little high, but you get 5 minifigures and a large ship. I would rate this set 5/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 70905 The Batmobile

Name:  The Batmobile
Set Number: 70905
Pieces: 581
Price: $59.99
Minifigures: 5
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2016

The new Batmobile is a must get if you want to start collecting sets from the new Lego Batman Movie. This Batmobile is unique to all other Batmobiles ever. Like the Joker's Lowrider, it was also released early on November 25 just like the Joker's Lowrider. It took me about 40 minutes to complete this build and I started by making the minifigures.
The first minifigure i built was Batman. He is highly detailed from head to toe and comes with a cape, helmet, and a utility belt. Batman also comes with two faces, one disappointed and with a snarled look. The next minifigure I built was robin. His hair piece is unique in that fact that it attached to the  glasses as well. His head has eyes on it, but the glasses cover them. Robin comes with his hair/glasses piece, a merch-gun, and a cape. This Robin is the most unique Robin created and makes it an awesome collection piece. The next minifigure I built was Man-Bat. He only comes with a head-piece and two faces, one intimidating and one scared. The last minifigures I built were the Kabuki Twins. They are both identical. Each of them comes with a pair of claws. Overall, the minifigures are great and you get two of the main characters in the upcoming Batman movie.Next, I moved onto the Batmobile.

The Batmobile is the most unique looking Batmobile and has the most features of them all. Its features include a cockpit for 2, pop-off roof, multi-directional wheels, two stud shooters, and posable bat wings on the back. The look takes a little bit to get used too, but its play features are through the roof. There are a few stickers that if placed on the vehicle un-aligned, make the vehicle look wonky. You can make the wheels turn in any direction you need to maximize play function. I may have built some of the wheels incorrectly, but the spacing between the wheels and the joints are a little off and I am going to look into who to correct the wheels.

The set as a whole is pretty good. The pricing of the set is also good for one vehicle and 5 minifigures. The set is visually apealing when displayed and is fun to play with. I just wish the Kabuki twins had one difference to them and that the wheels on the Batmobile were even. This set along with the Joker's Lowrider make a perfect pair and are perfect to have together. I would rate this set 4.5/5.I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 70906 The Joker Notorious Lowrider

Name:  The Joker Notorious Lowrider
Set Number: 70906
Pieces: 433
Price: $49.99
Minifigures: 3
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2016

Christmas is just around the corner and this set would be perfect for any Lego lover. This set was released on November 25 rather than its original release date, January 1. This was one of four of the new Lego Batman sets released on the 25th. It took me around 30 minutes to build this set. I started by building the minifigures.
The first minifigure I built was the Joker. This set was the first of the Lego Batman sets where the new Joker appears. His entire minifigure is detailed from his wacky green hair to his purple pants. The Joker comes with two faces, one with a smug look and one with a laughing face. He also has a pop gun to scare his rivals. The next minifigure that I built was Harley. Harley is also very detailed from head to legs. I am glad that they used the original Harley look for her rather than the new one with the blue and white hair. She comes with a baseball bat. The last minifigure I built was Batgirl. Her costume is really good looking and I never had a Batgirl figure before her. She comes with a purple bat helmet, a yellow utility belt, a yellow cape, and yellow batarangs. The minifigures look great and will be even cooler when combined with the other Batman sets. Next I built the Joker's Lowrider.

The Joker's Lowrider looks amazing and comes with some cool features. It features a cockpit for two minifigures, a trunk you can open, hidden spring-loaded shooters, and a bouncing suspension function. The vehicle just looks like something you would see the Joker driving in. My favorite part about the lowrider is the golden chicken ornament on the front. The lowrider looks amazing and is lots of fun to play with.

This was my favorite set that I have so far of the Batman sets. All the features that the lowrider have make it super fun to play with and the set looks amazing when displayed. The price-to-piece ratio is a little high, but there are lots of exclusive pieces like the golden chicken ornament and the three exclusive minifigures. I would rate this set 5/5.I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!
