Review: LEGO 75155 Rebel U-Wing Fighter

Name:  Rebel U-Wing Fighter
Set Number: 75155
Pieces: 659
Price: $79.99
Minifigures: 5
Theme: Star Wars
Year of Release: 2016

The movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released two weeks ago and it was fantastic. The characters and the ships all looked amazing. Seeing the movie made me really want to get the Lego U-wing, and I did just that! It took me around a hour and thirty minutes to build. I started by building the minifigures.
I started off by building Jyn Urso. She comes with a helmet, a satchel, a blaster, a big gun, and a parka. Jyn also has two faces, one calm and one angry. I like having her minifigure, but she doesn't come with a hair piece, so you have to keep her helmet on the whole time you play with her which takes away from the experience a bit. Next, I built Cassian Andor. He comes with a blaster and a hair piece. Cassian also come with two faces, one smug and one serious. After Cassian, I built the rebel trooper. He comes with a helmet and a blasster. He only comes with one face, an angry face. His detailing on his body makes him look well-equipped for battle. The minifigure I worked on after the trooper was the U-Wing pilot. He comes with a helmet and a small pistol. The pilot also comes with two faces, one happy and one scared. The last minifigure I worked on was Bistan. He was the space monkey who shot at the enemy from  the U-Wing in the movie. His head piece is unique and is one big piece. Bistan comes with his head-piece and a blaster. Overall, the minifigures in this set are amazing and this is currently the only set where you can get all of these minifigures.

After the minifigures, I built the U-Wing. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Some of its features include: minifigure cockpit, opening side doors with pull-out stud shooters, rear storage, two spring-loaded shooters, and huge wings that can be swept back for atmospheric flight. There are a couple of stickers that if not aligned, make the ship look asymmetrical. The only thing that would have made this ship better was if there was easier access to the holding area under the cockpit. The U-Wing is fun to play with and looks amazing when displayed.

The entire set is fantastic. All of the minifigures are exclusive to this set and the U-Wing has a unique look to it compared to all of the other Star Wars ships. This set in addition to the other Rogue One sets makes one of the coolest Star Wars collections. You can recreate many different scenes with this set or make up some of your own. As well as playing with the set, the U-Wing and its crew looks amazing when displayed. The price-to-piece ratio is a little high, but you get 5 minifigures and a large ship. I would rate this set 5/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 70905 The Batmobile

Name:  The Batmobile
Set Number: 70905
Pieces: 581
Price: $59.99
Minifigures: 5
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2016

The new Batmobile is a must get if you want to start collecting sets from the new Lego Batman Movie. This Batmobile is unique to all other Batmobiles ever. Like the Joker's Lowrider, it was also released early on November 25 just like the Joker's Lowrider. It took me about 40 minutes to complete this build and I started by making the minifigures.
The first minifigure i built was Batman. He is highly detailed from head to toe and comes with a cape, helmet, and a utility belt. Batman also comes with two faces, one disappointed and with a snarled look. The next minifigure I built was robin. His hair piece is unique in that fact that it attached to the  glasses as well. His head has eyes on it, but the glasses cover them. Robin comes with his hair/glasses piece, a merch-gun, and a cape. This Robin is the most unique Robin created and makes it an awesome collection piece. The next minifigure I built was Man-Bat. He only comes with a head-piece and two faces, one intimidating and one scared. The last minifigures I built were the Kabuki Twins. They are both identical. Each of them comes with a pair of claws. Overall, the minifigures are great and you get two of the main characters in the upcoming Batman movie.Next, I moved onto the Batmobile.

The Batmobile is the most unique looking Batmobile and has the most features of them all. Its features include a cockpit for 2, pop-off roof, multi-directional wheels, two stud shooters, and posable bat wings on the back. The look takes a little bit to get used too, but its play features are through the roof. There are a few stickers that if placed on the vehicle un-aligned, make the vehicle look wonky. You can make the wheels turn in any direction you need to maximize play function. I may have built some of the wheels incorrectly, but the spacing between the wheels and the joints are a little off and I am going to look into who to correct the wheels.

The set as a whole is pretty good. The pricing of the set is also good for one vehicle and 5 minifigures. The set is visually apealing when displayed and is fun to play with. I just wish the Kabuki twins had one difference to them and that the wheels on the Batmobile were even. This set along with the Joker's Lowrider make a perfect pair and are perfect to have together. I would rate this set 4.5/5.I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 70906 The Joker Notorious Lowrider

Name:  The Joker Notorious Lowrider
Set Number: 70906
Pieces: 433
Price: $49.99
Minifigures: 3
Theme: Lego Batman
Year of Release: 2016

Christmas is just around the corner and this set would be perfect for any Lego lover. This set was released on November 25 rather than its original release date, January 1. This was one of four of the new Lego Batman sets released on the 25th. It took me around 30 minutes to build this set. I started by building the minifigures.
The first minifigure I built was the Joker. This set was the first of the Lego Batman sets where the new Joker appears. His entire minifigure is detailed from his wacky green hair to his purple pants. The Joker comes with two faces, one with a smug look and one with a laughing face. He also has a pop gun to scare his rivals. The next minifigure that I built was Harley. Harley is also very detailed from head to legs. I am glad that they used the original Harley look for her rather than the new one with the blue and white hair. She comes with a baseball bat. The last minifigure I built was Batgirl. Her costume is really good looking and I never had a Batgirl figure before her. She comes with a purple bat helmet, a yellow utility belt, a yellow cape, and yellow batarangs. The minifigures look great and will be even cooler when combined with the other Batman sets. Next I built the Joker's Lowrider.

The Joker's Lowrider looks amazing and comes with some cool features. It features a cockpit for two minifigures, a trunk you can open, hidden spring-loaded shooters, and a bouncing suspension function. The vehicle just looks like something you would see the Joker driving in. My favorite part about the lowrider is the golden chicken ornament on the front. The lowrider looks amazing and is lots of fun to play with.

This was my favorite set that I have so far of the Batman sets. All the features that the lowrider have make it super fun to play with and the set looks amazing when displayed. The price-to-piece ratio is a little high, but there are lots of exclusive pieces like the golden chicken ornament and the three exclusive minifigures. I would rate this set 5/5.I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 75082 TIE Advanced Prototype

Name:  TIE Advanced Prototype
Set Number: 75082
Pieces: 363
Price: $39.99
Minifigures: 3
Theme: Star Wars
Year of Release: 2015

I bought this set a few months ago and I really like it. There were many different types of TIE fighters in the Star Wars universe and I like that they introduced this one as a prototype to future ships. The ships comes from a Star Wars TV series called Rebels. It took me around 30 minutes to build. I started the set by building the minifigures
The first minifigure I built was the Sith Inquisitor. This minifigure is one of the coolest of all of the Sith that have been released. He comes with shoulder pads, a helmet, unique lightsaber, and a scary looking face. His whole body is well detailed and he looks menacing. The next minifigure I built was the Imperial officer. His chest and legs are minimally detailed. He comes with an officer's hat and a pistol. The officer's face has a stern and intimidating look. The last minifigure I built was the TIE fighter pilot. He has an angry face and comes with a helmet and a pistol. The helmet and chest piece are well detailed. After the minifigures, I moved to the TIE fighter.

The TIE Advanced Prototype is compact and its features are: folding wings, two spring-loaded shooters, and a cockpit for the pilot. To activate the shooters, there is a spinning mechanism in the back that when you spin it, it fires the shooters. The ship is light and is fun to play with. It can also stand if you lay it down with its wings open. I think the ship looks great and has a great play function.

Overall, the minifigures and the ship are well designed and are perfect for playing with. You can also display this tie fighter along with any other ones you have to make them look like an organized group. The piece to price ratio is slightly high, but this set is well worth it for the exclusive characters you get. I would rate this set 5/5. I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!

Review: LEGO 75145 Eclipse Fighter

Name:  Eclipse Fighter
Set Number: 75145
Pieces: 363
Price: $29.99
Minifigures: 2
Theme: Star Wars
Year of Release: 2016

This set came out earlier this year and I think this is an interesting one. I had no idea who the minifigures were or the ship, but after doing some research I found out that it is from a new Disney show called Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. The sleek design of the ship caught my attention. It took me around 30 minutes to build. I started off by building the two minifigures.
The first minifigure I built was Naare. She is a Sith who worked under Emperor Palpatine during the time of the Galactic Empire. Her minifigure is well detailed from the hair on her head to her pants. She comes with a lightsaber, a blue cape, a blue hood, and two faces, one content and one scary with lots of tattoos on her face. After her, I built Dengar. He is a bounty hunter that helps Naare in the show. Only his head and chest are detailed. He comes with a rifle, a backpack, a turban, and a singular face. I think that these two look great and it makes sense that a Sith lord would be working with a bounty hunter. To add to the cool minifigures, the two vehicles that come with them are what I built next.

I built Dengar's speeder first. It is very simple and just comes with a place for him to sit and adjustable handles. Even though it has a simple look, it works perfectly for the speeder look. After I built the speeder, I built the Eclipse Fighter. Even though the fighter is the highlight of this set, it has only a few features. It features a cockpit, lightsaber storage underneath the ship, a transforming mechanism, and two spring-loaded shooters. The ship doesn't have a lot of features, but it has enough to spark your imagination when you play with it. Visually it also looks amazing and I'm glad I bought it.

I thought this set was one of the better buys out of the Star Wars sets this year. I enjoy playing with all the vehicles/minifigures and everything looks amazing when it is displayed. To make this set even better, the pricing is unbelievable. The price to piece ratio is incredibly low which makes this set worth buying. I would rate this set 5/5.I hope this review was helpful to all who read it and that you continue to love LEGOS!
